John Arkan
City Councillor, Coffs Harbour
Mr Arkan, who hails from Woolgoolga, is the first Australian-born Sikh councillor. In his own words, Mr Arkan stresses he is a man of the people and aims to bridge the gap between the communities and bring about positive change.
Alex Bhathal
Candidate, Batman
Alex is a social worker, human rights advocate and environmentalist and has worked with refugees and child protection. She ran six times for the Greens in the federal seat of Batman and was Former International Co-Secretary of the Australian Greens and co-founded the Global Greens Women’s Network in 2012.


Inderjit Singh
Former MP, Singapore
Inderjit Singh has previously served as an MP for the People’s Action Party in Singapore, representing his electorate from 1996-2015. Since leaving politics, he remains a strong proponent for reforms in governing. He is the current CEO and Founder of Solstar International, President and CEO of Infiniti Solutions, Executive Chairman of Tri Star Electronics and Co-President of the World Entrepreneurship Forum.
Kanwaljit Singh Bakshi
MP, New Zealand
Kanwaljit Singh Bakshi is the first Indian Sikh MP in New Zealand and the Spokesperson for Internal Affairs and Associate Spokesperson for Justice. He has over 30 years’ experience in freight management and was awarded the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award for his services in fostering relations between India and New Zealand. He is also the founding member of the Sikh Naujawan Sabha, an organisation which focuses on assisting teenage children to meet their full potential
